Heart Health — Nutrition Within Cardiovascular Care

How everyday eating habits relate to overall heart care, what general guidance supports your clinician's plan, and what this website will never promise.

Food as One Pillar of Heart Care

Heart health rests on many pillars: prescribed treatment, blood-pressure and cholesterol management, not smoking, movement, sleep, stress — and food. Eating patterns influence several risk factors at once, which is why cardiologists emphasize them. No eating pattern prevents every heart event, replaces prescribed treatment, or works overnight. This website makes no supplement recommendations for heart health; some interact with blood thinners and cardiac medication.

Patterns That Generally Support

Consistent themes: vegetables and fruit daily; whole grains over refined; legumes, nuts and seeds regularly; unsaturated oils in sensible amounts; less salt overall (pickles, papads, namkeen and restaurant food count, not just the shaker); fewer sweetened drinks and deep-fried snacks; minimal or no alcohol. Familiar meals adapt: more sabzi and dal, roti over refined breads, grilled or tandoori over deep-fried.

What This Website Will Not Claim

No claims that food prevents heart attacks or strokes, unblocks arteries, replaces statins or blood-pressure medication, or substitutes for cardiac rehabilitation and monitoring.

Working With Your Clinicians

If your clinician prescribed something, that is their call; if an advertisement suggests something, bring the question to your clinician, not your cart. Nutrition support reinforces your cardiology team's framework — it never competes with it.

Preparing an Enquiry

Supportive conversations around heart health go through the medical nutrition enquiry. 'Blood Pressure' is an optional checkbox. You will never be asked to change medication here.
